Florence Days
The community of Florence celebrates its heritage annually with a parade and plenty of other fun activities on the day.
Salute To Summer Festival in La Vista
The jump-off point to the summer, this parade is the highlight of this single-day extravaganza. Plenty of entertainment options include games, a car show, and an evening fireworks display!
Bennington Daze
This community event features a Parade accompanied by a BBQ, picnic, Corn Hole tournaments, and fireworks.
Elkhorn Days
Residents get four fun-filled days, with the Elkhorn Days Parade being the highlight of the fun. There is local entertainment, with artists, a car show, kids’ bounce houses, a pancake feed, and more!
Blair’s Gateway to the West Days
This four-day festival is one of the jewels of the summer. There’s a parade, a food festival, a car show, a concert in the park, and a BBQ contest. There’s plenty for family and friends to do during this local event.
Springfield Days
This event is similar to Blairs Gateway, but it’s a three-day event. There’s a hometown parade, a kiddie parade, kid’s games, a beer garden for the adults, and an evening firework show!
Papillion Days
This three-day festival features an adult and a kiddie parade, the annual “Market in the Park,” and a carnival, with a beer fest and a weekend fireworks display.
John C. Fremont Days
This historical parade takes place at the Living History Encampments at Clemmons Park. There’s time to get a historical tour or check out the Kennedy’s Cruisers at Main Street Car & Bike Show. Attend a rodeo, hang out at the beer gardens, and enjoy local music artists.
Gretna Days
There’s a parade, carnival, free movie nights, and a fireworks show. The event sponsors a local gold tournament, and there are plenty of family picnic venues, a dance and beer garden, and much more.
Benson Days
There’s a great parade, and the kids get free pool passes to Gallagher Pool. There’s a historical tour, a mural tour, a kid’s kickball tournament, and a bike ride.
Valley Days
This three-day event has one of the best parades in Omaha, and there’s a park with kids’ activities, food, and more.
Arrows to Aerospace (Bellevue, NE)
This multi-day event pulls together the community for a parade and pancake feed. Plenty of children’s activities include a bounce house, pony rides, music, a beer garden, and food stalls.
Dundee Days
A great treat for local families, this street festival highlights and celebrates Dundee. There’s a huge parade, a 5km run, a book sale, art and craft vendors, pancake feed, food trucks, a beer garden, and live music.
Millard Days
This week-long festival is one of the biggest of the year in Omaha. There’s a huge parade and a carnival. Parents can enjoy the Family Fun & Safety Day with their kids and the tractor pull event. There’s a beer garden, live music, and an ice cream social.
Plattsmouth Harvest Festival
This festival features a kid’s parade and pageant, a kid’s talent show, and a local pep rally. Adults can enjoy the craft fair, car show, bike racing, food, and music. The week peaks with the “Grande Parade” and the fly-in breakfast; meet everyone at the free community picnic!
St. Patricks Day
Omaha’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations cater to all age groups. The city hosts the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, organized by The Ancient Order of Hibernians, which is a prominent event. This parade, commencing at 10 am, winds through the Old Market and showcases marching bands, drill teams, Irish dancers, and costumed performers. For those interested in physical activity, the Shamrock 5K offers a lively run/walk option. Septemberfest
Since 1977, SeptemberFest has been a five-day extravaganza featuring entertainment, educational displays, artistic exhibits, a carnival, and Omaha’s largest parade, culminating on Labor Day weekend. The event caters to all family members, offering musical performances, children’s entertainment, a large carnival midway, arts and crafts, diverse food options, and new special attractions each year.
Cinco De Mayo
Attracting up to 200,000 visitors from the local and regional areas, Cinco de Mayo Omaha is a diverse community celebration. Festivities kick off with a carnival, live music, and a coronation on Friday night. The event’s centerpiece, the annual parade on Saturday morning along 24th Street, showcases vaqueros on dancing horses, lively dancers, and enthusiastic musicians playing horns and drums.
Juneteenth – Omaha Freedom Festival
The Omaha Freedom Festival, organized by the non-profit Freedomtainment, takes place in North Omaha, Nebraska, and commemorates Juneteenth, a holiday marking the liberation of enslaved individuals in the U.S. The festival’s goal is to educate, empower, and entertain the local community while highlighting North Omaha’s culture and promoting awareness of social, business, and local resources.
